When a Global Brand Shows Up Locally: A Thank You Note to Nespresso From Broward House
There are moments in community work that remind you why you keep pitching, keep building, and keep believing.
This is one of those moments.
I want to take a second to publicly say thank you to Nespresso for listening to my pitch, leaning in with curiosity, and ultimately choosing to make a real connection with Broward House right here in Fort Lauderdale.
As the Creative Director at Live In Color Agency, I spend my days helping organizations tell the truth about what they do in a way the world can feel. Not just pretty visuals, not just “marketing,” but clear storytelling that moves people to action. And in a city like Fort Lauderdale, where people come from everywhere and the culture is built on community, Broward House is one of the most important truths we have.
Broward House is not “a nonprofit.” It’s a lifeline.

Run the Free AuditFor decades, Broward House has been a steady force supporting people impacted by HIV, homelessness, and other barriers that most communities don’t talk about until it hits home. They provide housing. Case management. Healthcare support. Prevention services. Real wraparound care.
And they do it with dignity.
That word matters. Dignity. It means you don’t just help someone survive. You help them feel human while they’re surviving. You help them rebuild.
So when I sat down to think about what it would mean for an international brand to sponsor Broward House, I wasn’t thinking about logos on a banner. I wasn’t thinking about a “nice partnership.” I was thinking about what happens when a brand with global reach decides to stand beside an organization with deep local impact.

The pitch was simple: show up where it matters.
The world is loud. Everyone is fighting for attention. Most sponsorships are transactional.
But Broward House is the kind of organization where support becomes something bigger than the moment.
When Nespresso shows up with Broward House, it’s not just a sponsor relationship. It’s a statement.

Generate FreeIt says:
- We see the people this organization serves.
-
We respect the work that happens behind the scenes.
-
We believe community impact belongs in the center, not the margins.
- We are willing to activate our brand in a way that adds warmth, energy, and real presence.
And there’s something powerful about that coming from an international company. It sends a message beyond South Florida. It shows what it looks like when a brand doesn’t just sell a product, but participates in a community.
Why this connection matters to me personally
A lot of people see creative direction as design decisions. Fonts. Colors. Video edits. Campaigns.
That’s part of it.
But the deeper job is to recognize moments that can be turned into movement.
When I’m building a campaign, I’m thinking about attention, yes. But I’m also thinking about trust. Emotion. Memory. Behavior. The reasons people actually take action.
That’s why I believe partnerships like this are so important.
Because community support isn’t built by information alone. It’s built by experiences. By feelings. By moments where someone says, “I didn’t know this existed, but now that I do, I want to help.”
And the right brand partner helps create those moments faster.
Nespresso has the ability to turn a simple activation into an experience that people talk about. And Broward House has the kind of mission that deserves that level of energy around it.
That’s not hype. That’s alignment.
What I appreciate most about Nespresso in this
It’s the willingness to listen.
It’s easy to support the causes everyone already supports loudly. It’s easy to write the check and move on.
But it takes a different kind of brand to say:
“Tell me more about Broward House. Tell me who they serve. Tell me what impact looks like. Tell me how we can show up in a way that respects the community.”
That’s what I felt in the conversations. That spirit of “let’s actually do this right.”
And that’s why I’m grateful.
Because the community can tell the difference between a sponsor that appears and a sponsor that shows up.
The bigger picture: sponsorship as community infrastructure
If we’re being honest, the nonprofit sector is often expected to perform miracles with limited resources. The work is constant. The needs don’t take breaks. But funding can be unpredictable.
That’s why international sponsorships matter so much. They bring stability. They bring visibility. They bring new networks into the circle.
But even more than that, they normalize something that should be normal:
global brands investing in local care systems.
Because that’s what organizations like Broward House are. A care system. A community anchor. A place people can land when life gets complicated.
And when brands invest in that, everyone benefits. It’s not charity. It’s community infrastructure.
To Broward House: thank you for letting us tell this story
Broward House has trusted us to help shape how people experience their work online, how campaigns come to life, how the community sees the mission with fresh eyes.
That trust is everything.
The team at Broward House is doing real work in real time. And it’s an honor to get behind them creatively and help amplify what’s already true.
To Nespresso: thank you for your presence
Thank you for hearing me.
Thank you for trusting the vision.
Thank you for connecting with Broward House and stepping into a partnership that has the power to do more than sponsor an event. It has the power to create lasting momentum.
And thank you for choosing to support a mission that is not always easy to talk about, but is absolutely necessary to support.
What’s next
This is the part I’m most excited about.
Because the best partnerships don’t end at one activation. They evolve.
They turn into ongoing visibility. Ongoing involvement. Ongoing community touchpoints that keep people engaged.
So I’m looking forward to what we build together from here.
More moments. More stories. More people discovering Broward House. More support. More impact.
That’s the goal.
And this is how it starts.
With one pitch being heard. With one brand saying yes. With one local nonprofit being elevated the way it deserves.
Thank you, Nespresso.
